The (13-5) San Antonio Spurs of the Western Conference Southwest division will make the trip from the Alamo city to the Mid-South to take on the (15-3) Memphis Grizzlies also of the Western Conference Southwest division in 2014 NBA action. The team will play at the FedExForum on banks of the mighty Mississippi river in Memphis, Tennessee. This Sports Handicapper believes the Southwest division is the toughest in the league, and Memphis is in first place and San Antonio is in fourth place. Four of the five teams in the Southwest have winning records, and the last place Pelicans are at .500. The Opening betting lines are not posted for Friday Night’s game.

2014-15 San Antonio Spurs are looking to get back to the NBA Finals and win it all again this season, why not they still have the nucleus that took them to the finals the past two years. Memphis has historically been a grind it out team, but they are averaging over 100 points per game so far this season. Memphis is 6-4 Against the Spread, going over the total five of their last ten. Center Marc Gasol is questionable for Friday’s game after suffering a minor knee injury at Houston.
