The Duke Blue Devils is the only #1 seed playing Friday; they face the five seed Utah Utes in the South Region. The East Regions also kicks of Friday at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York. The highest seed remaining in the East is the number-three Oklahoma Sooners who will be an underdog against Michigan State.

This Sports Handicapper believes Duke is going to have a tough time with the Utah defense. The Utes beat Georgetown in convincing fashion to advance. Utah held Georgetown to sixty-five points in the win. The Utes defense ranks ninth nationally, allowing opponents 56.9 points per contest. The Utah vs. Duke game features two teams with different strategies. Duke can score points in abundance and has a Freshman stud in the post. The Point Guard battle between Duke Senior Quinn Cook and Utah’s Delon Wright is going to be huge. The talented Blue Devils have three freshmen who could start for the Utes. Blue Devils Freshman Justise Winslow is going to be playing in front of family and friends in his hometown of Houston. The other game in the South regions has #2 seed Gonzaga facing the 11-seed UCLA Bruins, and the Zags are going to have their hands full. Many March Madness Sports Handicappers though the Bruins would get left out of the annual “BIG DANCE”. UCLA has proven themselves in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The Bruins opened up with a one-points win over SMU. The Bruins then beat UAB easily to advance to this points. The Gonzaga “ZAGS” will have their work cut out Friday against a talented UCLA team. Sportsbooks in Las Vegas and offshore has Duke at 8/1 to win the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

The class of the East Region are the Tom Izzo coaches Michigan State Spartans who got past Virginia 60-54 on Sunday March 22nd. Michigan State is a team that can go the Final Four. The Spartans have a veteran Point Guard who is coming into his own and in “MARCH” the position is crucial. The Oklahoma Sooners have sharp-shooting Buddy Hield. The Sooners have size in the post, but Izzo is a “BEAST” this time of the year. North Carolina State takes on Louisville in the other matchup in the East region. Louisville got past a good Northern Iowa team to move on. The East Regions is wide open; it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Louisville Cardinals, North Carolina State Wolfpack, Michigan State Spartans or Oklahoma Sooners advance.
