The 2015 Eastern Michigan Eagles are looking for the first win of the season in the Rocky Mountains. EMU Head Coach Chris Creighton wants to bring a winning tradition to the suburban Detroit Institute. Eastern Michigan has not had a winning season since 1995, but there is a reason for optimism. The Eagles got off to a 14-0 first quarter lead last Saturday but fell 38-34 to Old Dominion. Senior running back Darius Jackson had 117 (yards rushing) and two touchdowns. Starting quarterback Reginald Bell Jr. Accounted for 121 yards through the air with two touchdowns. The coaching staff was impressed with the offensive production. EMU concentrated on upgrading the skilled positions, but the offensive line is still a work in progress. The Eagles have a lot of young talent, and it’s showing. A road win is just what the Eastern Michigan Football team needs to boost players confidence, and it could happen in Laramie, Wyoming. The Eagles return seven starters on defense but are not very big, and they lack the speed to compete at the FBS level. Creighton remains positive, and the Football program is going in the right direction. Saturday’s contest will be closer than the expert predict.

The Wyoming Cowboys have not been to a bowl game since the 2011 season, and the team is off to a bad start in 2015. Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl wants his team to forget about the home loss to North Dakota. Moving forward Bohl has suspended linebacker D.J. May for Saturday’s game. The Cowboys have lost eight of ten dating back to the 2014 season and four in a row. Wyoming desperately needs a victory in front of the home crowd, and Eastern Michigan could be the perfect team to get a win. Starting safety, Adam Pilapil will be available after missing the opener due to a suspension. The Wyoming offense was inefficient in the opener; they managed only fourteen first downs. The lone bright spot was the production of quarterback Cameron Coffman, who threw for 270 yards with two touchdowns. The Indiana University transfer has the talent to the team on his back. Defensive lineman Eddie Yarbrough is a preseason all-conference selection and must dominate along the front in their week two matchup with Eastern Michigan.
