The Penn State Nittany Lions pulled off the 24-21 upset of the second-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes, shaking up the BCS polls.

Clearly, Penn State Head Coach James Franklin has the Nittany Lions football program heading in the right direction.

The loss may not be a devastating to Ohio State as some may believe. Ohio State still has a home showdown on the final Saturday of the regular season against the Michigan Wolverines.

West Virginia and Baylor of the Big-Twelve remain unbeaten; West Virginia eliminated TCU with a convincing home victory over the Horned Frogs.

The Mountaineers are playing aggressive defense, and quarterback Skyler Howard is the real deal.

There is still a lot of football left, and plenty of upsets are on the horizon.

Week nine promises to be just as exciting, and the Clemson Tigers will have their hands full at Florida State.

The Michigan Wolverines will face their toughest test of the season when they travel to the “STATE CAPITAL” to face the Michigan State Spartans.

The fourth-ranked Washington Huskies took care of Oregon State in convincing fashion last Saturday.

Washington will take the show on the road in front of a hostile environment against the 7-1 Utah Utes. Washington head coach Chris Petersen knows what is at stake, Washington controls their destiny but can’t afford a loss.

The sixth-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers are the only unbeaten team in the Big-Ten West division, which could change Saturday in Madison, Wisconsin.

The third-ranked Clemson Tigers are unbeaten but have hardly passed the eye test. However a convincing win at Florida State next Saturday would probably move the Tigers up a notch in the BCS Polls.

Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney must prepare his football team for a “DOG FIGHT”
