Daily Sports Betting Picks are winning at a remarkable rate and will continue through the entire NBA, NCAA Basketball, March Madness, and MLB landscape.

One name in the 2018 NFL draft call at the quarterback position keeps popping up, and it’s Josh Allen of the University of Wyoming.

This Sports Handicapper watched the highly touted signal caller on a few occasions, and the results were always the same, average at best.

The Mountain West Conference isn’t exactly a hotbed for signal callers, but Brett Rypien of Boise State and Nick Stevens of Colorado State looked better at under center. The NFL draft isn’t an exact science, and rating quarterbacks are even tricker.

Most highly touted players at the position don’t last due to various circumstances.

Looking back both Tom Brady, and Nick Foles who will quarterback in the 2018 Super Bowl didn’t get a look until the third round.

In Bardy’s case, he wasn’t even on a lot of teams board, and he’ll go down as the greatest of all time. NFL scouts can do all of the physical and mental testings they want, and it’s still a coin toss.

Take for instance Ryan Leaf, and Vince Young, both players, had character issues coming out of College and their coaches knew but drafted them high anyway.

1. Sam Darnold: USC is Charliessports.com top rated signal caller, at six foot four inches with a cannon of an arm Darnold seems to have a natural knack for throwing the intermediate pass. The Southern California native is also an outstanding basketball player, like a former number one pick Sam Bradford which tell us he has natural footwork in the pocket. Darnold was on the AAU circuit as a prep star on the hardwood, and it will pay dividends for an NFL team.

2. Baker Mayfield of the University of Oklahoma and 2018 Heisman trophy winner is a Johnny Manziel clone who displays the same kind of immature behavior off the field.
However, scouts can’t discount the desire to and lead teammates in critical moments.

3. Mason Rudolph: Oklahoma State the Rock Hill, South Carolina native is a little rough around the edges but seems to keep a level head and demeanor on both in the huddle and on the sideline. His struggles against Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners over the past few season’s brought distracters. Rudolph is six foot five inches and looks the part; many scouts believe he will be on the board on day two of the 2018 NFL draft. Charliessports thinks Rudolph will be gone in the top of round one.

4. Josh Rosen: UCLA is the purest of the class at the quarterback position with a natural throwing motion which looks effortless. However Rosen is prone to injury, he spent to much time in the training room for our liking but will go in the first round.

5. Riley Ferguson: Memphis won some big games in the Liberty Bowl and if his predecessor Paxton Lynch can go high in the draft then so should Ferguson. The knock on the former University of Tennessee recruit is his skinny frame, but he can sling the ball. Ferguson seem’s to have a knack for hitting his target in stride, mostly for touchdowns in the Tigers spread offense.

6. JT Barrett: Ohio State is undoubtedly not a first round talent but the Wichita Fall, Texas native is the kind of player coaches want on their team. Urban Meyer stuck with him for four years through thick and thin. Barrett brings a multiple skill set and is a quick learner, when the competition heats up he will not back down from the challenge. Needs work but will get a shot.

7. Kenny Hill: TCU began his career at Texas A&M and the Aggies faithful thought they had their next Heisman winner after a season-opening performance over Steve Spurrier and South Carolina. However it was short-lived, and Hill transferred to TCU, but the talent is there, almost comparable to Mayfield in many ways as both a passer and ability to extend plays.
