Free Winning NBA Point Spread Picks, News, Notes, and Odds For Saturday, February 10, 2018: New Orleans Pelicans at Brooklyn Nets.

Written and authored by National Basketball Association Expert Analyst Greg Nelson. Charliessports.com produces it for Basketball Betting news and notes.

Basketball Daily ATS Predictions are the best in the business and again will win again at an unbelievable rate through the NBA Finals in June of 2018.

The (28-25) New Orleans Pelicans of the Western Conference Southwest division are in the most extensive borough of the “BIG APPLE” for an out of conference matchup.

New Orleans play’s the (19-37) Brooklyn Nets of the Eastern Conference Atlantic. Tip-off is 6:00 PM EST.

The game is on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The teams will play at Barclays Center where Flatbush meets Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.

The Local Television networks will broadcast the game. The New Orleans Pelicans topsy turvy season continues, and head coach Alvin Gentry is getting exposed.

It’s time for the front office to make a coaching change. Brooklyn is among the worst teams in the NBA landscape, and fans understand it’s going to take time, they are willing to wait a few years for the franchise to turn the corner.

The opening betting line has Brooklyn as a one and a half point home underdog against the spread. The betting odds total is 220 points for Saturday’s game.

The 2018 New Orleans Pelicans have lost four of their last five both straight up and to the Las Vegas number.

New Orleans is third in the Southwest, twelve games behind first-place Houston. The team suffered a setback when multi-talented Center DeMarcus Cousins out for the season with an Achilles injury.

On a positive note, the Pelicans have a positive record on the road.

The high scoring New Orleans offense ranks fourth in the NBA, averaging a little over one hundred and team points per game.

However, defensively they allow opponents 111.1 ppg. All-Star and former number one overall draft pick Anthony Davis leads the team in scoring; he must also pick up the point production with the loss of Cousins.

Point Guard Jrue Holiday is underrated, and the team recently acquired sharpshooter Nikola Mirotic form the Chicago Bulls.

New Orleans play in Philadelphia on Friday, so they must allow starters to get plenty of rest.

Bovada.Lv has the New Orleans Pelicans win total at thirty-nine and a half games for the 2018 NBA season.

The Brooklyn Nets lost to New Orleans back in December of this year and are looking for revenge.

Brooklyn is 2-8 their last ten overall but is 5-5 Against the Point Spread in the span.

The Nets are in the cellar of the Atlantic division and have the third worst record in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn also has a losing record in front of the home crowd as well as on the road.

General Manager Seas Marks is going to stick with head coach Kenny Atkinson for at least the remainder of the 2018 season. Atkinson took over at the fifty game mark in the 2017 season.

The Nets have some talent on offense, but give up too many points to the opposition.

Multi-talented guard D’Angelo Russell is back in the lineup after missing most of the first half of the season and will produce a few more victories.

A key to a Brooklyn victory is to take advantage of the Pelicans playing back to back games.

Bovada.Lv lists the Brooklyn Nets win total at 28′ games for the 2018 NBA season.

2018 NBA Expert ATS Predictions, News, Notes, and Odds: How Blake Griffin trade impacts Pistons, and Eastern Conference.

Written and authored National Basketball Association Expert Analyst Al Presto. Charliessports.com produces it for Basketball Betting purposes.

Basketball Expert Daily Picks are the best in the business and again will win again at an unbelievable rate through the NBA Finals in June of 2018.

Blake Griffin is now a member of the Detroit Pistons after getting traded to the “MOTOR CITY” from the Los Angeles Clippers.

Los Angeles receives Tobias Harris, Avery Bradley, and Boban Marjanovic. Head Coach, and President Stan Van Gundy to reporters he’s serious about bringing an NBA title back to Detroit.

The move certainly makes sense for the Pistons who now have Griffin and Andre Drummond as the cornerstones of the franchise.

Drummond has unreal defensive skills but is a liability on offense. Griffin, on the other hand, can post up or consistently hit the mid-range jump shot.

Detroit will host the Cleveland Cavaliers on the day of the trade and of course LeBron James had to put his two cents in on the deal, which should fall on deaf ears.

James is known to be outspoken but should just keep basketball on his mind. Don’t forget his mouth is the reason the most “CRAFTY” point guard in the history of the franchise is now wearing Boston Celtics colors.

Who cares how a multi Billionaire feels about a trade, players perform on the court and management makes decisions that are best for the team.

Right or Wrong owners work hard to keep fans interested and seats filled so players can make huge salaries.

Again it’s the era of sports, everyone is expendable, even LeBron James. Blake Griffin will be just fine; he just signed a one-hundred-and seventy-one million dollar contract over five years, nearly thirty-five million per season.

Most of us would play in Siberia for that kind of money, who cares if fans believe players are spoiled if they want a trade or unloyal if they sign with another team.

LeBron, just worry about playing basketball.

Back to the trade, the Pistons are now a contender, and Van Gundy will get the best out of his frontcourt.

Point Guard Reggie Jackson is a budding star and is easily one of the top six at his position in the Eastern Conference.

Gone is forty points per game with Harris, Bradley, and Marjanovic but Van Gundy now has two dominant forces in the post.

Most fans like the Golden State Warriors, and Houston Rockets high powered offenses who will launch three points shots on a consistent basis.

What they don’t understand is both of these teams concentrate on defense more than ever in the 2017-18 season.

Stan Van Gundy will now play with a slow pace allowing both Griffin, and Drummond touches each time down the court.

The move forces opponents to play defense for the entire twenty-four-second shot clock.

Detroit will stay under the betting odds total for the majority of the rest of the regular season.

The 2016 March Madness Elite Eight in the East looks more like a Midwest Region. Indiana, Wisconsin and Notre Dame playing are playing in the “CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE”. No doubt the Notre Dame Fighting Irish will have plenty of fans in the stands. Notre Dame has a large alumni base in Southeastern Pennsylvania, and the Wells Fargo Center will be a sea of Green and Gold. Perhaps the best team among the four is the North Carolina Tar Heels who’s fans will also be in the stands. The two Big Ten teams are going to be underdogs with Wisconsin getting a point. The Indiana Hoosiers are five and a half point “DOGS. The Midwest Region is a friendly location for the Iowa State Cyclones. Indiana and North Carolina have longstanding traditions not only in the Tournament but College Basketball. The Bobby Knight and Dean Smith eras are over, it now Roy Wiliams and Tom Crean on the benches. The second game in the ACC vs. Big Ten matchup March style will have the Notre Dame Fighting Irish facing Wisconsin. The Irish took care of Michigan at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York. Indiana will push the pace against North Carolina. Notre Dame and Wisconsin will play at a slower pace.

The top seed Virginia Cavaliers and fourth seed Iowa State Cyclones are two team who play entirely different styles. Virginia wants the game played in the low sixties or high fifty’s. Iowa State wants to push the basketball at a fast pace. Whatever team imposes their will is going to advance. Virginia will milk the shot clock and look for a good shot. The Cardinals are not eligible for the NCAA Tournament due to self-imposed sanctions. The Opening Betting Line has Syracuse as a seven-point Road Underdog Against The Spread. The Syracuse Orange basketball team is soaring at the right time. Syracuse is on a five-game win streak and is 3-2 ATS in the span. The Orange is fifth in the Atlantic Coast Conference, three games behind first-place North Carolina. Syracuse last win, a 75-61 road victory over Boston College on Valentines day. The Orange, at 8-5, is among seven teams playing for a double bye in the ACC Tournament. However, long-time Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim prefers to play instead of sitting his team with a bye. After the recent winning streak, some voters put the Orange back into the top twenty-five in various polls. Senior Forward Michael Gbinije is the team’s leader scoring the basketball with a 17.9 ppg average. Tyler Roberson pulls down nearly nine rebounds per contest which leads the team. Deleware native Trevor Cooney is the team’s most efficient player and as he goes so will Syracuse.

2016 NBA Picks: First Half of The 2015-16 Season in the Bag.

Written and authored by NBA Expert Analyst Al Presto. Charliessports.com produces it for Basketball news and notes. NBA Premium Predictions have been winning at a 71.1% rate and will continue into the 2016 NBA Finals in June. The First Half of the NBA season is coming to an end. Only four team are in action Thursday Night. Washinton at Milwaukee and New Orleans at Oklahoma City are the teams facing off before players get a break. 2016 All-Star Classic takes place on Sunday. February 14th, 2016 in Toronto, Ontario. NBA players are getting reservations in order while others just take the time to relax. The New York Knicks parted way’s with head coach Derek Fisher day’s before the first half the season ended and Knicks fans are still suffering. The team is playing better than they showed last season, but the team is on a losing streak. Golden State assistant Luke Walton is the most talked about the replacement for Fisher. Why not, Walton is another Jackson disciple from his day with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers close out the first half with the best record in the Eastern Conference. Cleveland parted ways with their head coach recently. Forner NBA player and Cavaliers assistant Tyronn Lue takes over the talent-laden Cleveland team. The Toronto Raptors have the second-best record in the East, but coach Dwane Casey needs more talent of the perimeter if the Raptors want to get compete for the title. The tow biggest disappointments this season are the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards and Milwaukee Bucks. All three have taken a few steps backwards. Chicago fired longtime coach Tom Thibodeau at the end of the 2015 season. Fred Hoiberg realizes it’s easier to handle College kids than NBA Players. Washington and Milwaukee have talent, but they play like they don’t care. Wizards Head Coach Randy Whittman and Bucks general Jason Kidd could also be job hunting soon. Detroit, Boston and the Indiana Pacers are teams on the rise.

The Western Conference is the most competitive from top to bottom. Golden State and San Antonio looks like a great matchup in the West Finals. Golden State has the best record in the league and beat San Antonio soundly recently. The Oklahoma City Thunder and Los Angeles Clippers are in the second tier. Both are capable of competing with the elite but must bring their A-games to get an upset against either Golden State or San Antonio. The Houston Rockets lost to Golden State in the 2015 Western Conference finals. Houston fired head coach Kevin McHale a few games into this season. The Rockets are the most dysfunctional team in the NBA. Memphis and Dallas are getting older; management must make decisions on whether to start rebuilding. The Utah Jazz, Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trailblazers and Sacramento Kings have talent. New Orleans must also toughen up in the second half of the season.
