Free 2017-18 NFL Picks, and Odds: Washington Redskins Forecast.

Written and authored by National Football League Analyst Charlie Red McDougall. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

NFL Predictions is again the best in the industry and will continue through the Super Bowl Game in February of 2018.

The Best Sports Handicapper believes Washington Redskins owner Daniel Snyder is tired of looking for instant gratification as a winning formula in the National Football League.

Fans in the “BELTWAY” want to relive the 1980’s, and 90’s when Jack Kent Cooke and Joe Gibbs had the franchise at the top of the NFL stature.

Jay Gruden enters his fourth season as the head coach in the “NATION’S CAPITAL” and hopes were high as the Redskins made the 2015 postseason.

President Bruce Allen understands the dynamics in the NFL and is optimistic about the upcoming season.

Washington plays in one of the most competitive divisions in the National Football Conference. Along with a loyal and fanatic fan base winning is the only option.

Washington has been indecisive about signing their quarterback to a long term contract. We will see how good he is without his two playmakers who have moved on to other teams.

The Washington Redskins offense is under the leadership of first-year coordinator Matt Cavanaugh. The former University of Pittsburgh standout has been a fixture in the NFL for a long time.

Kirk Cousins (4,917) passing yards in 2016 is back under center. Washington had one of the most prolific offenses in all football last season; they ranked third in overall offense and second in the passing game with an average of 297.4 yards per game.

However, the loss starting wideouts DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garçon will hurt the passing attack.

Return Specialist Jamison Crowder, former first round draft choice Josh Doctson, and newly acquired Terrelle Pryor must step up.

Jordan Reed is emerging as one of the best tight ends in the National Football League.

Former Oklahoma Sooners standout Samaje Perine can become a star at the running back position.

Tackles Trent Williams and Morgan Moses will open holes in the running game and protect Cousins on throwing situations.

The Redskins running attack must keep the chains moving and keep the pressure off of Cousins and his new crew of receivers.

The 2017 Washington Redskins defense allowed (377.9) yards per game last season, 28th in the league.

The Redskins defense got gashed at every level last season. Making matter worse is defensive ends Chris Baker and Ricky Jean-Francois are no longer with the team.

Former Outside Linebackers coach Greg Manusky is the new defensive coordinator. 2017 first round draft choice Jonathan Allen can make an immediate impact, and nose tackle Phil Taylor can plug holes in the trenches.

Ryan Kerrigan and Mason Foster lead a young group of linebackers, a unit that must play better against the pass.

2016 Prize Free Agent Josh Norman can play man to man with the best wideouts in the league.

Safeties Su’a Cravens and D. J. Swearinger are aggressive players with natural instincts.

The key to success for the Washington defense is to get constant pressure on the quarterback.

Winning College Football Predictions, and Odds: 2017 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Preview.

Written and authored by NCAA Football Analyst Bobby Wallace. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

Football ATS Picks are again the best in the industry and will continue through the BCS Championship Game in January of 2018.

The Best Sports Handicapper believes the University of Hawaii football program is in good hands with second-year head coach Nick Rolovich.

The longtime University of Nevada offensive coordinator brings a new energy to the Rainbow Warriors and fans are excited again.

Hawaii won the finals three games of the 2016 season, including a 52-35 Aloha Bowl victory over Middle Tennessee in front of the home crowd.

Things didn’t start out well last season with losses to Cal and Michigan, giving up one hundred and fourteen points. Hawaii finished second in the Mountain West Conference, West division going 4-4.

Hawaii begins the season with a cross country trip to take of UMass on August 26th. The team will entertain Western Carolina before returning to the mainland to play UCLA at the Rose Bowl.

Conference home games include San Diego State, San Jose State, Colorado State, and Fresno State. Hawaii ends the regular season with a home game against BYU who does not belong to a conference.

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors offense put up 391.3 points per game last season.

Junior College transfer Dru Brown (2,488) passing yards returns at the quarterback position. Brown got better as the season progressed and in the final two games threw zero interceptions.

The loss of their leading receiver could hurt a bit, but the coaching staff has some young talent in the fold.

Second-year offensive coordinator Brian Smith has four returning on the offensive line including All MWC tackle All-conference tackle Dejon Allen.

The units should be able to block as well as protect Brown in the passing game.

Running Back Diocemy Saint Juste over 1,00 yards rushing last season is one of the best in the Conference and should again surpass the thousand yards mark.

The key to success this season for the Hawaii offense is to pick up where they left off last season. However, they can’t become complacent.

The 2017 Hawaii defense needs work and first-year coordinator Legi Suiaunoa understands his role as he got a promotion within the system.

Last season the Hawaii defense ranked 112th in total yards per game. They also got gashed at the line of scrimmage allowing opponents 234.2 yards per contest on the ground.

The 37.3 points per games also were 113th in the FBS. Three starters return on the defensive line including tackles Penitito Faalologo, and Viane Moala.

Like most defensive lineman at Hawaii, they are huge in stature but are not light on their feet.

End Meffy Koloamatangi can rush the passer; he was honorable mention all conference selection last season. Junior inside linebacker Jahlani Tavai is the best player on the defense.

The secondary must cut down on allowing big plays in 2017. Two safeties return, but cornerback could be a problem.

Hawaii must get off of the field on third down and enable the offense to gash opposing defenses.

Bovada.Lv lists the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors at +3,000 to win the 2017 Mountain West Conference Championship.

2017 NCAA Football Picks, and Odds: California Golden Bears Forecast.

Written and authored by College Football Analyst Al Presto. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

Weekly NCAA Football Predictions are again the best in the industry and will continue through the BCS Championship Game in January of 2018.

The Best Sports Handicapper understands the culture of the PAC-Twelve Conference better than anyone in the industry.

Former USC and Wisconsin Badgers defensive coordinator Justin Wilcox takes over the reigns at the University of California at Berkeley.

The forty-year-old replaces Sonny Dykes and his air raid offense. Wilcox brings a sense of toughness which is lacking at the University of California.

Cal went 5-7 last season, they put up plenty of points but couldn’t stop anyone. Not much expects to change on the offensive side of the football with talent at the skill positions.

The Golden Bears open the season at the University of North Carolina on September 2nd. Out of Conference home games against Weber State and “OLE MISS” follows in the month of September.

PAC-Twelve North road contests with Oregon and Washington could prove what kind of success the Golden Bears will have in 2017.

The 2017 California Golden Bears offense, led by first-year coordinator Beau Baldwin who comes over from Eastern Washington University.

The former head coach at Eastern Washington has a knack for producing points on offense.

Davis Webb is now in the NFL, Chase Forrest, and Ross Bowers will compete for the starting quarterback job.

They were neck and neck at the end of spring football; fall camp will determine who will get the start in the opener.

California put up an average of (513.2) yards of offense per game in 2016. They ranked fourth in the nation through the air with Webb at the helm.

Seniors Tre Watson and Vic Enwere will split the load at running back position. The offensive line loses three starters who gave the quarterback plenty of time to throw the football last season.

Demetris Robertson and Melquise Stovall replaces early NFL entry, Chad Hansen. California will still produce on offense.

However, the key is how well the offensive line holds up in passing situations.

The California defense ranked among the worst in all of College Football last season allowing opponents (518.3) yards per game.

The unit has been particularly bad against the run giving up nearly two hundred and seventy-five yards per contest. The 42.6 points per game also ranked 125th nationally.

Former Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter travel to the “EAST BAY” to become the new defensive coordinator at the University of California. Defensive End James Looney and Linebacker Devante Downs are next level talents.

The Golden Bears will switch to a 3-4 base defense with Downs calling signals at the middle linebacker position.

Two senior return to anchor down the cornerback position.

Sophomore Evan Rambo has an ability at safety; he did an adequate job last season before tearing his anterior cruciate ligament.

The key to a successful campaign for the California defense in 2017 is to get off of the field on fourth down and stop the run wit aggressive play up front.

Bovada.Lv lists the California Golden Bears at +8,000 to win the 2017 PAC-Twelve Conference title.

Winning, NCAA Football Betting News, and Notes.

The Best NFL Betting Picks, and Odds: 2017-18 Buffalo Bills Preview.

Written and authored by National Football League Expert Analyst Charlie Red McDougall. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

NFL Predictions is again the best in the industry and will continue through the annual Super Bowl Spectacle in February of 2018.

This Sports Handicapper believes the culture for winning Football in Western New York is back.

Owners Terry and Kim Pegula are committed to restoring the once-proud tradition to Buffalo.

Fans in Buffalo are some of the most loyal and enthusiastic in the National Football League.

The Rex Ryan experiment is history, he did a lot of talking but couldn’t win. Former Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott is now the head coach in the second largest city in the “EMPIRE STATE.”

Buffalo went 7-9 and next to the last place in the American Football Conference East division. Buffalo is working on their ninth head coach and seventh General Managers since 2000.

Putting, it into perspective the New England Patriots hired Bill Belichick in 2000.

The organization is looking for more consistency on the sidelines and McDermott is young, but smart enough to understand the dynamics of the National Football League.

Buffalo cleaned house but if players don’t perform at the level expected the Pegulas could move the franchise to Toronto within the next five years.

The 2017 Buffalo Bills offense will be led by quarterback Tyrod Taylor (3,023) passing yards last season.

Buffalo put up just (189.8) yards per game through the air in 2016. Wideouts Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin are now playing in the NFC West.

Former number-four overall draft choice Sammy Watkins has not played up to expectation, mainly due to injuries.

Rookie second-round draft pick Zay Jones is another deep threat. Andre Holmes comes over from Oakland and should be a weapon in the intermediate passing game.

Charles Clay is the incumbent at Tight End with Nick O’Leary as his backup. Veteran Center Eric Wood anchors an average offensive line.

Richie Incognito and Seantrel Henderson must also play up to their potential.

All Pro Running Back LeSean McCoy is still one of the best in the league and must be utilized more in the passing attack.

The key to success for Buffalo on offense is for Taylor to be more efficient throwing the football and improvise with his legs.

The Buffalo Bills pass defense ranked sixth in the NFL in 2016. However, the loss of cornerback Stephon Gilmore to New England could hurt in 2017.

Buffalo drafted LSU cornerback Tre’Davious White in the first round in April. Ronald Darby should start on the opposite side of the Rookie.

Rangy safety Micah Hyde brings speed to the lineup, the former Green Bay Packer can also help in the kick/punt return game.

The strength of Buffalo is on the defensive line where Marcell Dareus and Kyle Williams are dominant at tackle. Defensive End Jerry Hughes is coming into his own as a pass rusher. Shaq Lawson and Adolphus Washington have talent and will be used in the rotation.

Linebackers Lorenzo Alexander, Preston Brown, and Reggie Ragland form a tight group of run stoppers; they are also good in pass coverage. Ragland has All-Pro potential.

The key to success for Buffalo on defense is for the tackles to get off of blocks better against the run.

Bovada.Lv lists the Buffalo Bills at +700 to win the 2017-18 American Football Conference East Crown.

Winning, National Football League Betting News, and Notes.

NCAA Football Point Spread Picks, and Odds: 2017 Old Dominion Monarchs Preview.

Written and authored by College Football Expert Analyst Greg Nelson. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

Football Predictions are again the best in the industry and will continue through the BCS Championship Game in January of 2018.

This Sports Handicapper believes the future is bright for the third rated NCAA football program in the “MOTHER OF STATES.” Old Dominion head coach Bobby Wilder enters his fourth season as a member of Conference-USA and is putting his stamp on the program.

Long gone is record-setting signal caller Taylor Heinicke and so is the pass happy philosophy.

The Monarchs were 10-3, (7-0) at home in 2016, finishing second in the East Division of Conference USA.

With the departure of Western Kentucky head coach Jeff Brohm, the Monarchs are setting their sites on the 2017 division title.

Old Dominion has the most balance of any school in C-USA, with a stout defense and adequate offense.

Old Dominion lost badly to Appalachian State, North Carolina State, and Western Kentucky last season, but are ready in 2017.

Nonconference games against ACC powers North Carolina and Virginia Tech in September could determine what direction the program is heading.

Conference USA foes Western Kentucky, and Rice are formidable opponents that visit Norfolk, Virginia in 2017.

Former wideout David Washington did a masterful job under center last season, but he’s gone.

Blake LaRussa is set to be the starting quarterback in 2017. Offensive coordinator Brian Scott is in his ninth season in the press box and is excited about his offense this season.

Running Back, Ray Lawry (1,255) rushing yards last season is the primary weapon on offense. Junior Jeremy Cox is the best backup running back in the Conference-USA, he ran for 732 yards.

The Old Dominion offense put up over thirty-five points per game last season, and it was a balance of running and passing.

Wideouts Jonathan Duhart and Travis Fulgham are top targets in the passing attack and Lawry can catch the football out of the backfield.

Junior center Nick Clarke anchors the offensive line which returns three starters from last season.

The key to success for the Old Dominion offense is to avoid injuries on the line and aggressive play calling.

The 2017 Old Dominion defense has potential, and coordinator Rich Nagy must continue to recruit the “TIDEWATER” area.

Old Dominion did a great job creating turnovers last season, and it’s one of the reasons they won them football games.

Four returning edge rushers should help the unit again this season. The 383.9 yards given up by the defense should improve in 2017, producing more turnovers.

However these are College kids, and hopefully, they don’t believe their hype. Senior cornerback Brandon Addison is a team captain and a high character football player.

Old Dominion is loaded in the secondary and will improve on their 226.8 yards per game given up through the air.

As much experience they have on the defensive line and secondary, losses at the linebacker position could loom big as the season progresses.

The key to success for Old Dominion this season is for young players to step up at linebacker.

Bovada.Lv, list the 2017 Old Dominion Monarchs at +500 to win the Conference USA Crown.

Winning NCAA Football Betting News, and Notes.

Winning 2017 College Football Predictions, and Odds: Indiana Hoosiers Forecast.

Written and authored by NCAA Football Expert Analyst Bobby Wallace. Charliessports.com produces it for Football Betting news and notes.

College Football ATS Picks is again the best in the industry and will continue through the BCS Championship Game in January of 2018.

This Sports Handicapper believes the Indiana Football program has potential to move into the upper tier of the Big Ten East, Division.

The school recently parted ways with Kevin Wilson, who is now the offensive coordinator at Ohio State.

Indiana finished 6-7 in the 2016 campaign and finished with a postseason loss to Utah in the Foster Farms Bowl.

Former defensive coordinator Tom Allen takes over the Hoosiers program, and he will put more of an emphasis on defense.

For the past few season;s the Hoosiers have played competitively on the defensive side of the football.

The day’s of Tevin Coleman, Jordan Howard, and Nate Sudfeld are gone. It’s time for a new attitude at the Basketball-crazed Institute, and Allen could be the key to success moving forward.

Indiana will get a test early in the 2017 campaign as they host Ohio State in an ESPN-televised contest on August 31st. Indiana also gets Michigan and Wisconsin at home this season.

The nonconference schedule is winnable with Georgia Southern and Florida International University visiting Bloomington. The Hoosiers take on Virginia on the road in the second game of the season.

The Indiana Hoosiers offense, led by first-year coordinator Mike DeBord who comes over from Tennessee where he was the coordinator and quarterback coach.

Senior Quarterback Richard Lagow (3,362) passing yards in 2016 returns for his final season and they staff must make him more responsible.

The 273.8 yards per game through the air was twenty-eighth in the FBS. The running game must be more consistent.

DeBoard loses a 1,000-yard rusher, but he did a great job at Tennessee with Alvin Kamara and Jalen Hurd.

However, the Hoosiers return junior wideout Nick Westbrook (995) receiving yards last season.

Simmie Cobbs is also going to be an impact player in the passing game; he missed the entire 2016 season with a foot injury. Tackle Coy Cronk and guard Wes Martin anchors the offensive line.

The loss of NFL draft pick Dan Feeny could be huge. The key to success for the Indiana offense in 2017 is how fast they catch onto to new system.

They have skill players; the o-line must find ways to open holes for the rushing attack.

2017 Indiana University defense returns nine players from last season.

Indiana did an adequate job on that side of the football in 2016, they were in the upper 50 percent of College Football, and big things are expected this season.

Coordinator William Inge understands the Tom Allen way of doing business and should have the unit ready to compete.

Junior defensive end Nile Sykes has the size and speed to become a power rusher, wrecking opposing quarterbacks in passing situations.

Linebacker Tegray Scales is a next level type of player who is a tackling machine.

Hybrid linebacker Marcelino Ball can drop back in pass coverage and play the safety position, he feels comfortable both defending the pass or tackling.

The Indiana defense returns four secondary players with experience, and all have excellent cover skills.

Bovada.Lv, list the 2017 Indiana Hoosiers at +2,900 to win the Big Ten Championship.

2017 NCAA Football Picks, and Odds: Ohio University Bobcats Preview.

Written and authored by Football Expert Analyst Charlie Red McDougall. Charliessports.com produces it for College Football Betting news and notes.

Football Point Spread Predictions are again the best in the industry and will continue through the BCS Championship Game in January of 2018.

This Sports Handicapper believes the Ohio University Football program is one of the most consistent in the Mid-American East, Division.

Former Nebraska Head Coach Frank Solich enters his thirteenth season with the same position in Athens, Ohio.

The Bobcats won the MAC East division title and nearly upset nationally ranked Western Michigan in the Championship game.

Solich and “BOBCATS” are loaded coming into the 2017 season with skill players and a formidable line on both sides of the football.

Ohio University has been in the Conference Championship game four times since 2006 and has come up empty each time.

However, there is optimism among the faithful at the Institute, and they believe 2017 is their turn to win the MAC Championship. Solich and the Bobcats also lost their third straight bowl appearance, a 28-23 Dollar General loss to Troy University.

Ohio University plays Purdue and Kansas out of Conference.

They open up with Hampton University which should be a victory in front of the home crowd.

The Bobcats play three of four games in Athens in the month of October which could go a long way in determining the East Division title.

The 2017 Ohio University offense, led by twelve-year offensive coordinator Tim Albin. Ohio University scored a little over twenty-six points per game in 2016, seventy-seventh in the nation.

Quinton Maxwell lost his starting quarterback job in 2016 but bounced back to lead the team to an East Division title.

Junior College transfer Nathan Rourke will push Maxwell to be the starter under center.

Dorian Brown led the rushing attack with 825 yards, A.J. Ouellette will also get plenty of carries from the backfield.

Elijah Ball and Papi White are the primary weapons in the passing game which ranked seventy-second nationally last season.

An offensive line is a veteran group that can block as well as protects the passer.

The key to success for the Bobcats offense is for Maxwell to cut down on turnovers, the coaching staff will give hi a short leash.

Jimmy Burrow also enters his twelfth year as the coordinator of the defense. T

The coaching staff has been together for more than a decade and should take the program to the next level in 2017.

Defensively, Ohio University defense was the strength of the team in 2016 and ranked twenty-seventh in the nation, allowing 360.2 yards per game.

The unit was excellent against the run giving up just a little over 104 yards per contest, fifth in College Football.

However Tarell Basham and Blair Brown are now in the NFL, they can’t be replaced.

Junior defensive tackle Cleon Aloese has potential but must develop a work ethic.

Quentin Poling and Chad Moore are outstanding linebackers; they must become team leaders.

Five experienced cornerbacks will improve a secondary which got torched by opponents last season.

Safety Javon Hagan anchors the and makes the calls in the secondary.

Bovada.Lv, list the 2017 Ohio University Bobcats at +900 to win the Mid-American Conference Championship.
