NCAA Football Picks, and Odds For 2016-17: College Football Week one recap.

The College Football season is in full swing as the first week is nearly in the books. The University of Mississippi will travel to the “SUNSHINE STATE to take on Florida State to cap off the Labor Day weekend.

The 2016-17 College Football season promises to be one of the best in recent history with upset and unfulfilled dreams. Expectations are still high in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide rolled to a 52-6 win against USC in their opener.

Alabama freshman signal caller Jalen Hurts threw two touchdown passes to ArDarius Stewart and ran for two more scores.

However SEC West foe LSU got upset by the Wisconsin Badgers at Lambeau Filed in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

LSU looks pretty predictable, despite having NFL guru Cam Cameron as the new offensive coordinator. Quarterback Brandon Harris must take the next step or it Goodbye Les Miles.

Also, Mississippi State got derailed by Sun Belt Conference upstarts South Alabama in Starkville, Mississippi.

 

The Atlantic Coast Conference has the second best team in the FBS in the preseason polls. The Clemson Tigers got an early test at Auburn but came out of the contest with a 19-13 victory.

Wide Receiver Mike Williams, who missed last season can take the Tigers to the promised land.

Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson had a subpar game but connected to Williams on numerous big plays.

Despite losing top players in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft, the Ohio State Buckeyes showed the nation they are going to be players on the national scene again this season.

Starting quarterback J.T. Barrett has the experience to take to Buckeyes to the BCS Playoffs.

New defensive coordinator Greg Schiano is going to play a huge part in the success of the Ohio State defense.

The Michigan Wolverines also looked impressive in their enormous home opener vs. Hawaii.

Northwestern was the home upset victim of the Western Michigan Broncos of the Mid-American Conference.

 

The 2016-17 Football season saw the “STATE OF TEXAS” pull off two of the biggest upsets in the College Football landscape in week-one.

The Houston Cougars of the American Athletic Conference beat the Oklahoma Sooners impressively in their opener.

Houston quarterback Greg Ward led the Cougars to a ten double-digit victory over the preseason number three Oklahoma Sooners.

Texas A&M got an overtime win over a very game UCLA football team. One of the most impressive wins of the weekend came on Sunday Night as the Texas Longhorns upset the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

Texas used a dual quarterback situation; Senior Tyrone Swoopes gave way to true freshman Shane Buechele.

Swoopes had every reason to let his “EGO” get the best of the situation, however, he didn’t give into the temptations.

Swoopes kept his helmet on and was ready when his name got called. Buechele looked in control the entire game also.

The Texas Longhorns are going to be contenders in the Big Twelve Conference.
